Introduction to Mental Health Counseling Course # 302-10 Credits
This course focuses on studies related to individual mental health problems and how they relate to the world as a result of their socialization.
Students will use current periodicals or texts and write about studies relating to individual mental health problems in a paper with no less that 250 words.

Group Dynamics Pt.#1& Pt.#2 Course #323- 7 Credits
This course overviews various group theories and basic aspects of group therapy. The development and role of group cohesiveness, selection and composition of groups, and stages of group therapy. Three summaries of three group theories including strengths and weaknesses of each theory with an opinion on how successful each group theory would be in-group cohesiveness.

This course covers standards for professional conduct in counseling for the whole family. It will be organized around marital disorders. A paper covering professional standards using a marital problem with treatment will be required. Paper must be at least six pages in length.

This course surveys the field of spiritual leadership. It considers the various theories and settings on how spirituality is managed; its functions and philosophy. Church and secular viewpoints will be taught. One review paper on best practices for spiritual leadership highlighting your viewpoint using models and research is required. This course provides an advanced overview of the basics of sexual anatomy, physiology, and development. Discourse on the church's view of marriage, divorce, and the single life will be incorporated. Secular material on this topic will be included. A paper on human development with parallel growth development in sexuality will be required.

Mental Health Counseling/Spiritual Healing Advanced Course # 301-4 Credits
This course focuses on those events that led to the development of a "Community point of view of who is normal." The spiritual life crisis will be discussed. Healing using various approaches; such as the Preventive Model of Consultative Model will be outlined. Student will use a spiritual problem and then illustrate the solution through two models. Bible verses can be used when applicable.
