PROGRAM DESCRIPTION AND SYLLABUS

Introduction to Scripture Course #153 – 7 Credits
This course teaches students to find answers on their own through the use of a concordance. Students will be familiarized with the contents of the bible. There are fourteen lessons with three written or audio/video-recorded sermons due. One sermon is due at the completion of each four lesson segments.

Fourteen-lesson booklet with lessons checked by J. Ebersole and sermons checked by Bishop Petros.

Modern Day Prophetics Course #227-7 credits
This course gives a brief overview of the five-fold ministry within the Church. This course introduces the role of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor/priest, and teacher.

A term paper on one of the above mentioned completes the course along with course work.

Pentateuch Course # 210-8 Credits
This course provides a detailed study of the first five books of the bible. Holy Scripture is emphasized. One term paper is required.

Canon/Translation/Interpretation/Church and the Legal Courts Course #102 – 6 Credits (optional)
An introduction to church canon/law with an orthodox translation/interpretation will be covered. This course covers some of the historical issues of canonicity by giving detailed information on specific incidents that took place involving the Greek Orthodox Church in court. Archbishop Haralambos will provide ten issues with facts and documentation in written format. Students will also become familiar with the website of St. Michael Academy of Eschatology. A test will be given at the end of the course.

Thoroughly examines the Davidic dynasty period. The student will study Judaism after its Babylonian captivity began. Quiz and one term paper due at completion on course.
